Hannah Calderwood (principal cornet)
Hannah started playing the cornet in 2007 under tuition in Carrickfergus Grammar School. Since completing her BMus(Hons) degree, she has been working as a peripatetic music teacher across primary and secondary schools in the North East of Antrim and Belfast.
During her musical career, she has had the pleasure of playing with some of the top bands in the UK as well as being part of the European Youth Brass Band in 2016.
In her free time, she likes to play the piano and practise photography.
She has been Principal Cornet since May 2014 and hopes to continue on this fantastic journey with Downshire Brass for many years to come.
