SPONSOR THE BAND
As with
many Brass Bands, Downshire Brass are entirely
self-supporting and rely on income generated from concerts
and fund-raising activities to cover capital expenditure
costs. Costs include hall rental, new instruments,
conductors fees, insurance,
new music, music stands and competition fees.
We are always on the lookout for a sponsor and if you or
your company could help, we would love to hear from you.
Types of
sponsorship could include:
-
Full band sponsorship
Incorporating your company's name into the Band's name
e.g. Downshire Brass <Your Company> Band and corporate
support from the band with regards to fund raising for
your nominated charity. This would also involve
advertising your company's support on this website, all
band promotional materials (concerts and programmes,
press releases etc)
-
Sponsoring a Player
For a donation to the Band, your company could sponsor a
player. You choose the player and your company will be
shown on this website as supporting that player
-
Sponsoring a Concert
Your company
would be publicised by the band as kindly supporting the
concert, together with programme, ticket and
presentation advertising at concert venues of your
choice. The band will be 20 years old in 2010. It would
be appropriate to perhaps have a special concert. This
may involve the cost of engaging special guest soloists.
-
Sponsoring
a programme
Your company would have their contact details mentioned
several times in one of our many capacity crowd
audiences.
-
Insurance
Sponsorship
The band
need to insure instruments as well as having public
liability sponsorship
-
Concert Sponsorship
Your company would be publicised by the band as kindly
supporting the concert, together with programme, ticket
and presentation advertising at concert venues of your
choice
-
Music Folder Sponsorship
Which
involves replacing the existing folders with new ones,
which should last for over seven years, with your
corporate sponsorship on the cover.
-
Music Composition
Sponsorship
This
would involve commissioning an arrangement or
composition by any of the Band's Arrangers or
Composers-in-Residence, the resultant piece being
bannered with your sponsorship and performed in public
-
Recording
Sponsorship
The
cost of producing a number of CDs would be sponsored,
with the result showing sponsorship advertising, naming
of the recording and/or part-selection of programme
music
-
Music Stand
Sponsorship
Where the cost of replacing music stands with new ones
is sponsored. Your corporate logo would be displayed on
the web site and any literature that the band produce
-
Transport
Sponsorship
Where a van
or box trailer purchase or coach transport is sponsored,
advertising acknowledgements would be given
-
Junior Band
Sponsorship
Where the
cost of running the junior band would be sponsored, this
would include any new instruments, music, music folders
which would have the sponsors logo, as well as the fees
the band incur when members enter the annual solo and
quartet contest. The junior band can perform at
engagements with the sponsors name incorporated.
