Adam Brown (Eb bass)

Adam has been involved in music making from the age of 8. He began playing cornet with the CWA Brass Band before progressing rapidly down the line ending up at the bottom of the barrel…. on the tuba. He has always had a flair for music and this has just grown over the years. Adam was also involved in the Belfast School of Music, as part of the various ensembles, as well as studying under the tutelage of Steven Irvine of the Ulster Orchestra. In 2008, Adam achieved Distinction at Grade 8 on Tuba.

After completing his school education, Adam chose to study Music Technology at Queen’s University, Belfast. As part of his studies, Adam continued to develop his passion for performance, undertaking a wide range of challenging repertoire as well as having several pieces specially commissioned. Adam graduated from his undergraduate degree with First Class Honours and has recently completed his Masters Degree in Sonic Arts.

Outside of brass banding, Adam is a keen guitarist and is the worship director in his local church.
