Clara Robinson (Tenor Horn)

I started playing the tenor horn when I was 8 in primary school. This then progressed years later to me graduating with a degree in music at Ulster University.

My only previous experience of playing in a group was playing with the school orchestra so joining a championship level band felt like a big step, but when I was at university in 2021, at the end of Covid, I became part of the First Old Boys brass band for 3 years.

Downshire brass had began their community band last year in 2025 and it seemed perfect for easing back into brass banding. I began here for a few months before being asked to play in the senior band and have been thoroughly enjoying it since whilst still having a good time in the community band too!
