Are you a brass or percussion player heading to Belfast for university or college?

Don’t leave your music behind! Downshire Brass is based in South Belfast, within easy reach of the city’s universities and colleges, and we’d love to welcome students who want to continue their musical journey while studying here.

We offer two different playing opportunities:

🎺 Downshire Brass – Championship Section
For experienced players looking for high-quality music, concerts and competitions.

🎶 Downshire Brass Community Band
A relaxed, friendly and sociable band for players who want to keep playing and enjoy making music alongside their studies.

Joining a band is also a great way to meet people, make new friends and become part of a musical community when you arrive in a new city.
